Soft Coated Wheaten Terriers

The Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier is a wonderful medium-sized breed with many unique traits that make them excellent pets and companions. They are Playful, Clownish, Loving, Very Easy-Going, and Gentle with children and other pets. A Wheaten is a World Class Family Companion!

The Wheaten's coat does not shed like most dogs. They have little doggie odor and produce less dander than other breeds. They are considered hypoallergenic and can usually be tolerated by people with allergies.

Wheaten Terrier puppies are born a dark mahogany color but at maturity their loosely curled coat will be soft, abundant, and shimmering gold in color.

Train-ability of this breed is very high. Housebreaking is easy and the best part; they are not excessive barkers. They will alert you when there's a stranger at the door but other than that, you rarely hear them bark. Usually when a Wheaten barks, it's best to investigate.
